“Turn Again Whittington”
BASE (Burton Amateur Stage Entertainers) are now in final rehearsal for this year’s panto “Dick Whittington” which will be held at Burton Brewhouse Arts Centre from Tuesday 16th February – Saturday 20th February 2010 each evening at 7.30p.m. and with matinees on Thursday and Saturday afternoons at 2.30p.m.
Turn again Whittington, Lord Mayor of London, where the dream becomes reality with Dick and his trusted friend Tommy the cat but on the way, there is a lot of fun from Sarah the Cook, The romance is provided by Alice Fitzwarren watched over by Alderman Fitzwarren with wonderful comedy provided by Captain and Mate. Will good overcome evil with Fairy Tinkle v Queen Rat? Will they ever be freed from the shores of Morocco by the Sultan to return for the wedding of Dick and Alice?
Come along and find out with this well established company and all be big children for a few hours with “It’s behind you”
Full of adventure, romance, comedy and all those traditional ingredients you expect to see in pantomime with colourful costumes, excellent dancers all add up for that fun night out on a cold February evening.
This years chosen charity will be the “The Donna Louise Trust".
