“Hello There” from the Captain, “Shiver me timbers it’s all getting exciting now!”
I write to you fresh from our latest rehearsal. We’ve still over 5 weeks to curtain up and it’s all coming together really well. For those reading this who are in the cast, I hope you are feeling the changes coming over the whole troupe during these last couple of occasions. For those reading this who are friends of BASE, you are in for a real treat. And, for those reading this blog who are considering getting involved, don’t just think about it, do it.
I have fond memories of Babes in the Wood from last year as it was my first panto since leaving school more than 10 years ago. (Those who know me …. Leave it!) Suffice to say I’ve got a really good feeling about this one.
Tell your families, tell your friends, tell your colleagues, above all bring the children and most of all - show everyone that this is what the real spirit of traditional pantomime is all about.
Let’s fill the theatre and send them all home with big smiles on their faces.
