Thursday 12th November
Last night saw the principals and chorus together from Act 1. The dancers were still separate, perfecting their ‘thing’. Minor roles are now being shared among the chorus and the group are beginning to gel. Our producer hasn’t found her full voice yet, so we must be doing most things reasonably OK up to now. Maybe that’s just my opinion or maybe it’s the calming influence of our purring cat by her side?
By the way for those of you who follow all this drivel, I hope you are going to pop up and say hello on Sunday 22nd November where we have a stall in Burton market place for the switching on of the Christmas Lights. We make no apologies for using every opportunity to promote Dick and ourselves as Burton-on-Trent’s longest running amateur panto company. Punters can take the opportunity to see posters and photos of past productions as well as buying advance tickets for the production in February. And… if that doesn’t whet your appetite, it is rumoured there will be a certain panto dame, a cat, and principal boys in ‘fishnets’?!?! weather permitting I’m sure. Be there or be elsewhere!
