A further three weeks of rehearsals have taken place since my last blog. I’m not getting a great deal of feedback from my mole in the chorus so it will no doubt be a pleasant surprise when both groups are reunited, but our sessions are still enjoying that honeymoon period when they resemble a mass social.
It’s too early to get into panic mode, everyone is playing with their lines to inject further humour or make more contemporary. It had taken approximately five hours of rehearsal time to run through Dick once and that is without any of the production numbers.
We have now almost completed the second run through and it is great fun. Early ticket sales are proceeding well and we received posters and fliers last night to distribute and ‘spread the word’.
